Bike the Cbus 2021 is SOLD OUT!

However, the routes will be marked all weekend, if you would like to ride on your own, at your own risk. A donation to Yay Bikes! would be appreciated. You will not be able to join us for lunch, receive a goodie bag, or be eligible for raffle prizes. But, you can enjoy the beauty of our city by bicycle, and purchase a beer at the casino between 11 am -2 pm. We will also have a limited supply of this year’s t-shirts for sale at the casino.

The team at Yay Bikes! is working hard to allow riders to experience our beautiful city while protecting participants, staff, volunteers, and the community from COVID-19. While the pandemic continues, the event will look a bit different. Participants may start from any point along the routes, and may ride the routes anytime from September 4th to September 6th, 2021. Masks will not be required for any of the outdoor activities.  All riders and volunteers are encouraged to wear masks during packet pick-up which will be held indoors, and whenever you are inside a building or restroom during the ride. These precautions will be updated as needed to ensure we’re following the guidelines of Columbus Public Health.

There will be three route options for 2021.

10 Mile City Center Route - Road ride centered in and around downtown
30 Mile Community Route - Combination of trail and road riding throughout various Columbus communities.
62 Mile Community & Country Route - This metric century route will include the 30 mile community ride and then venture out into the countryside on the western edge of Columbus. You might even get to see some bison!
Virtual Option - Ride your own ride anytime from September 4th - September 6th, any location, any distance. We plan to have all routes marked by Friday evening, September 3rd. So, feel free to ride those routes or make your own!

Everyone must wear a helmet!

Anyone who is wearing their ride bib, will have be able to receive a boxed lunch at Hollywood Casino Columbus on September 5th between 11 am - 2 pm regardless of which day you ride. Rest stops and SAG (Support And Gear) service will only be available on September 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Registered riders will receive paper maps at packet pickup and will be emailed Ride with GPS files prior to September 4th.

This year, we are capping registration at 200 participants. Registration will open on May 1, 2021! Register early for best pricing and to ensure you get in!

Adult Registration Fee (age 18+)

July 1st - September 4th - $45
September 5th - $50
There will be no day-of, on-site, registration!

Child Registration Fee - $5 (only necessary if they are riding their own bike) This registration does not include a t-shirt. T-shirts will be available for purchase at the Casino during lunch time on Sunday, while supplies last.

Lunch - Hollywood Casino Columbus will be providing a boxed lunch between 11 am - 2 pm. Please plan to arrive at the casino during that time frame if you want to eat lunch. Beer will be available for purchase.

Packet pickup will be held at Hollywood Casino Columbus, 200 Georgesville Rd., Columbus, OH 43228, on the following days:

Sunday, August 29th - 4 - 7 pm
Tuesday, August 31st - 4 - 7 pm

Picking up your packet in advance of ride weekend will ensure you have all the information and supplies you need to complete your ride anytime Labor Day weekend and start from anywhere on the route. T-shirts and jerseys can also be picked up at this time.

We will be accepting donations of non-perishable food item for the Mid Ohio Food Collective during packet pick-up.

Hollywood Casino has included a $10 dining gift certificate in your packet.  Feel free to use it to have dinner when you come to pick up your packet or save it for a later date.  FYI, children are permitted into the packet pickup area, but not in the rest of the casino.

Packets, t-shirts and jerseys can also be picked up at the casino on Sunday, September 5th beginning at 8:00 a.m. If you want to start riding earlier than 8:00 a.m., please pick up your packet in advance.

Hollywood Casino Columbus will be providing boxed lunches for registered riders on Sunday, September 5th from 11 am to 2 pm. Please plan your ride accordingly to arrive at the casino during that time frame. Tables will be set up outside, behind the building. Beer will be available for purchase. Bike parking will be provided by Remember Us Urban Scouts.

On Sunday, September 5th, there will be two rest stops, one at about mile 15 at the King Arts Center parking lot across from the theatre and one around mile 40 (Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park Nature Center). The rest stops will be open from 8 am to 1 pm. The Community Route has lots of places along the route where restrooms are available. If you’re doing the additional 32 miles in the country, you might want to consider stopping at Circle S Farms. This is located between miles 45-46. They have great food and beverages available for purchase with lots of tables, shade and restrooms.

Riders will need to be wearing the bib they receive in their rider packet in order to receive snacks & lunch.

2021 Bike the Cbus jerseys will be available for $80 on the registration page beginning May 1st. Ordering deadline is June 30th.
